Students with higher self-esteem are more able to learn, challenge themselves and have stronger resilience in the face of adversity. This residency explores movement, improvisational theater games, poetry, language and visual arts, culminating in an autobiographical self-portrait honoring student’s unique gifts. Themes explore self-awareness, social awareness and self-management – essential for building a strong classroom community.
